If I’m honest with you, I don’t understand the hate for raisins. I remember being a little kid and throwing back those little red single serving boxes of raisins like I was workin through some serious stuff. That said, we picked golden raisins for their higher concentration of flavonoids and antioxidants. Sike, you thought, haha! No, actually they just taste better, they have a fruitier profile, they look cooler than black raisins and they take our wood blends favorably- any extra antioxidants or phytonutrients you get from these golden fellas is purely incidental. But if you’re like me and love oatmeal raisin cookies, but hate the dumb commentary you get from other people when you make them, try throwin these baddies in the mix. If you still get rabble from the risers, cut those people out of your life. More oatmeal raisin for you an me.
